MicroPOS Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is applicable to the MicroPOS app (hereinafter referred to as “Application”) for mobile devices, which is provided as a Free service “AS IS”.

What information does the Application obtain?

User Provided Information

App collects the following information from you:

  • Country & Currency
  • Business Name
  • Business Address (including email and phone number or any other information provided by user)
  • Contact List: The app requests access to your device’s contact list.
  • Buetooth Devices: The app requests access to your device’s connected bluetooth devices.
  • Printer’s IP Address/Device Id and Port.

All of the above user privided information is stored in the mobile device.

Automatically Collected Information

In addition, the Application may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device you use, your mobile devices unique device ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, and information about the way you use the Application.

How App uses your information

App uses the collected information for the following purposes:

Country, Currency, Business Name, Business Address: To operate the App, and provide its functionality and features. This informations are used to generate the Bill/Invoice.

Contact List: To facilitate [Specific Functionality: e.g., “searching for existing customers in your contacts,” “automatically populating customer details during a sale,” etc. Be very specific here. If the app accesses the contact list for multiple purposes, list them all].

Buetooth Devices & Thermal LAN Printer details: App collects this information to print bill on a Bluetooth or LAN connected printers.

Analytics: To analyze App usage patterns and trends to improve its performance and user experience. This data is used in aggregated and anonymized form where possible.

Do third parties see and/or have access to information obtained by the Application?

Only aggregated, anonymized app usage/analytics data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid in improving the Application and it’s services.

The Service Provider may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

  • as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, or similar legal process;
  • when they believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect their rights, protect your safety or the safety of others, investigate fraud, or respond to a government request;
  • with their trusted services providers who work on their behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.

What are my opt-out rights?

You can halt all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.

Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information

The Application will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application. We will retain Automatically Collected information as per the Google Analytics Policy. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.

Misuse by Non Targeted Users

All mobile apps are meant for use by the targeted audience only. Misuse by non-targeted users should be prevented by owner of the mobile.

Children

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under this age. Security

We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. Most of the user provided data is stored in the mobile device and it never leaves the device without user’s consent. Please be aware that, although we endeavor provide reasonable security for information we process and maintain, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post any changes on this page and update the “Effective Date” at the top. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Your continued use of the App after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.

By using the Application, you are giving your consent to the Service Provider processing of your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy now and as amended by us. “Processing,” means using or touching information in any way, including, but not limited to, collecting, storing, deleting, using, combining and disclosing information. We wont be liable for any mistake or misuse of the Application by user that leads to financial loss.
